We cultivate our vineyards in harmony with nature and with the greatest of care to conserve them long term. Our vineyards rank among the best in Franconia, with locations such as Würzburger Stein and Innere Leiste, Iphöfer Julius-Echter-Berg, Rödelseer Küchenmeister, Volkacher Karthäuser, Randersackerer Pfülben and Escherndorfer Lump.

A strictly limited yield, the amount of effort invested in cultivating the tiers, the selective hand-picking process are only some of the inputs which ensure the quality of the wine and make it all rewarding. After all, quality begins in the vineyard itself.

We cultivate vineyards in all areas of the Franconian wine region: the gypsum marl soil around Iphofen and Rödelsee yields full-bodied wine with a racy bouquet and long life. The wines from our shell lime vineyards in Würzburg, Randersacker, Thüngersheim, Volkach and Escherndorf are elegant, subtile fruity and contain mineral components, and the mottled sandstone in Bürgstadt produces fruity, elegant red wines with a pleasant tannin structure.

We have the ideal locations for grape varieties such as Silvaner, Riesling and Rieslaner, Weißer or Grauer Burgunder (White or Grey Burgundy), Müller-Thurgau, Bacchus, Scheurebe and red wines such as the Spätburgunder (Late Burgundy), Domina and Schwarzriesling, not forgetting the rarer grape varieties such as Traminer and Muskateller (Yellow Muskat) wines.
